have (something) in store (for one)

To have something awaiting (one) or prepared (for one). The future has plenty in store—try not to worry about it too much. We have a lot of fun activities in store for the kids at camp this summer. Ugh, meteorologists keep saying that Mother Nature has a lot of snow in store for us this year.
