have a high opinion of (someone or something)

To view someone or something favorably. If the recruiter has a high opinion of you, then I think they'll offer you the job. I know my parents—both doctors, might I add—don't have a high opinion of my career in the arts. It's hard to have a high opinion of her boyfriend when they've broken up so many times!
