1. To laugh heartily. Johnny's joke took us all by surprise at first, but we had all been so somber after the funeral that it was a relief to have a good laugh. We all had a good laugh at Tom's ridiculous outfit. I was really embarrassed about what happened on our first date, but we both had a good laugh about it later.
2. To have an amusing and entertaining time. After spending so much time studying, all I want to do is go out with my friends and have a good laugh. A: "How was the trip?" B: "Great! I always have a good laugh with those guys." Want to go out tonight? I really need to have a good laugh after being cooped up in the house with the flu for so long!
