have (something) on (one's) person

To be carrying something in one's hands, pockets, luggage, etc.; to have something in one's immediate possession. I always keep a notepad on my person, in case I get a great idea and I need to jot it down. Police say the suspect had an explosive device on his person at the time of arrest. He always had an umbrella on his person, even on sunny days.
