To identify, regard, or focus on someone or something as one's goal. Ever since she was a little girl, Janet has had her sights trained on being a fighter pilot. They have their sights trained on you to take over their new head of marketing. Please tell me you don’t still have your sights trained on June 1 as the deadline. That's only two days away!
