slang Very sad, disappointed, or upset. Primarily heard in UK. I'm just gutted that I can't go on the trip with you guys. Walt didn't get the promotion? Wow, he must be gutted. I was utterly gutted when Taylor broke up with me. I just didn't see it coming at all.
