gripe to (someone or something) about (someone or something)

To complain, often continually and in an irritating manner, about someone or something to someone or something else. I turned the thermostat up, so you all can stop griping to me about how cold it is in here, thanks. Michael, as long as you have long hair, Grandma is going to gripe to you about it—you better get used to it. Oh, go gripe to the school board about it then—there's nothing we can do here.
