To attend a party or other social gathering in costume or dressed up to resemble someone or something. I'm going to the Halloween party as Marilyn Monroe—how about you? A: "We should go to Ellen's party as fairies!" B: "Yes! I already have a pair of sparkly wings from an old Halloween costume." We're going to the costume party as Dorothy and the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz! What about you?
