go ahead with (something)

To proceed or continue with something. Oh, we're going ahead with our weekend plans—I refuse to let a little rain stop us! It snowed so much we couldn't go ahead with the event as planned, unfortunately. The earthquake damaged the stadium to such an extent that league officials refused to go ahead with the scheduled game.
