To act in a way that reveals anger toward one, perhaps by threatening or talking harshly to one. Did he really steal my porch furniture? Oh, I'm going to give that guy give something to think about! If you sass the principal, she'll give you something to think about—in detention. That guy's been late to every board meeting, and I'm ready to give him something to think about!
