get time for (someone, something, or oneself)

To find or allot time in one's schedule for a particular activity or to spend time either with someone or focused on oneself. I never seem to get time for my painting anymore, now that I'm working two jobs. Oh please, now that we have a new baby, my husband and I never get time for ourselves. I wish I could get time for my kids. I feel like I don't see them nearly enough.
