To correct, understand, or give an account of something in a clear, comprehensive, and accurate manner. If the government wants us to trust them on this issue, they need to get the story straight about how they are going to handle it. There has been a lot of misinformation floating around about me over the years. This memoir is my chance to get the story straight. A: "Is everything OK? You still seem confused." B: "Yeah, I'm just trying to get the story straight in my head."
