1. To become stimulated by some substance. No thanks. I don't need to get hepped up on pills to enjoy myself at a club. I got so hepped up on coffee that I feel like I could work on this report for days! Sure, I used to get hepped up on uppers before a concert. That was before my stint in rehab, obviously.
2. To cause someone to become stimulated by some substance. In this usage, a noun or pronoun is used between "get" and "hepped up." Mom, thanks for watching the kids, but please don't get them all hepped up on sugar next time. Why would you get Sarah hepped up on caffeine like that? You know it just makes her anxiety worse. I know you're feeling down, so why don't you come to the gym with me? I'll get you hepped up on endorphins!
