To receive assistance (with some burden, task, or activity). Tommy has been has been having trouble with his math homework, so he's getting a hand from my brother-in-law. Could I get a hand with these boxes? They're too heavy to carry alone! Yeah, it would be nice to get a hand with making Thanksgiving dinner for a change!
