1. To organize one's belongings. Dude, get your stuff together—I trip over something of yours at least once a day! Get your stuff together—we have to leave in five minutes and you don't want to forget anything! Come on, get your stuff together—we're going to the library, and we're not leaving until our papers are done!
2. To take action to become well-organized, prepared, or in a better state of life. You need to get your stuff together and finish packing so that we can leave for the airport on time tomorrow morning. I had no direction after college and drifted along for several years, until I got my stuff together in my thirties with a steady job and good relationship. A: "Of course I'd like to settle down with someone one day, but I know I need to get my stuff together first." B: "Yeah, less partying would be a good start."
