fuzz out
1. To blur an image of a person or thing in order to make it difficult or impossible to distinguish. A noun or pronoun can be used between "fuzz" and "out." My job was fuzzing out nudity from R-rated movies that we would play on our TV network. Newspapers were required to fuzz the boy out in pictures to protect his identity. I could fuzz out my kids' faces, I guess, but it's easy enough to just not post their pictures on social media.
2. To impair or dull one's senses or ability to think correctly, as due to intoxication. A noun or pronoun can be used between "fuzz" and "out." The doctor prescribed some pain medication after the surgery, but I hate the way it fuzzed me out. Sorry, I've been a bit fuzzed out ever since I hit my head. Yeah, I smoked some weed at the concert. I guess it fuzzed me out.
