Information that is very important or shocking. (The most important or salacious news typically appears on the front page of newspaper or magazine.) Tiffany always knows the hot gossip, so if she says she's got front-page news, I would believe her. Wait till you hear this front-page news—the head cheerleader got kicked off the squad! Dad keeps acting like his argument with the neighbor over the hedges is front-page news, when, in reality, nobody cares—not even the neighbor!
