For any compensation or incentive; under any conditions or in any situation. Usually used in the negative. If there are spiders in your basement, then I'm not going down there for anything in the world! This is a treasured heirloom from my grandmother, so I won't sell it for anything in the world. I have terrible stage fright, so I'm not participating in the talent show for anything!
