fillmill

fillmill

obsolete slang A bar, tavern, or saloon. Primarily heard in US. Her father's just a washed-up drunk. Spends more time at the fillmill than he does with his own family! I knew your grandparents, sure. And I knew whenever your grandfather had done something wrong, because then he'd be drowning his sorrows at the fillmill all night. I wouldn't mess with that rowdy bunch down at the fillmill, especially once they've gotten enough liquor in 'em!
