In baseball, to use one's glove to stop a ball that has been hit on the ground. We'll start practice today by fielding a couple grounders. If you're going to field a grounder, make sure to get your body behind the ball. How hard is it for a professional athlete to field a grounder? Geez, he deserves an error on that play!
