fiat lux

The Latin form of the phrase "let there be light," which comes from the Biblical Book of Genesis and refers to the creation of sunlight upon Earth by God. Often used as a motto of wisdom, as of institutions. The entrance to the university's library had the words "Fiat Lux" emblazoned over the door. Our organization aims to bring religious teachings to people around the world. That's why our motto has been "Fiat Lux" since we were established over 75 years ago. Our school seal included a torch with the words "fiat lux" over it.
