feel up to (something)

To have enough energy, motivation, or emotional wherewithal to be able to do something. I was supposed to mow the lawn, but I was so sick that I just didn't feel up to it. I'm sure Bob doesn't feel up to going back to work so soon after the tragedy. I stayed up late last night and definitely don't feel up to watching my sister's kids today.

to feel well enough or prepared enough to do something. (Often in the negative.) I don't feel up to jogging today. Aunt Mary didn't feel up to making the visit.
