To perceive that one has been ignored, forgotten, or excluded, as from a group, activity, benefit, etc. Of course I felt left out when you guys went to the concert without me! Your brother is feeling a little left out, Sarah. Would you please just let him join in your game for a while? Yeah, I felt left out—you spent the whole night talking to your new friends!
