1. To give someone or an animal a particular food item. Did you feed the cat with dry food today? You fed the baby with puréed squash? And she actually ate it? Don't worry, I left money for the babysitter to feed the kids with pizza.
2. To use a utensil or implement to give someone or an animal food. The kittens were so small when we found them that we had to feed them with an eye-dropper. You can feed the baby with the little spoons in this drawer. Don't worry about washing dishes, just feed the kids with plasticware.
