exile (someone) from (some place)

To banish someone from some place, often as retribution. The official decree exiled him from France for crimes against the country. The cool girls exiled me from their lunch table because they think I started that nasty rumor about them—but I didn't! If you start publicizing a wild theory like this, they'll exile you from the scientific community!
