To spend one's final days (in a particular way or place). I've already told my kids that I don’t want to end my days in a nursing home. He died on vacation in Hawaii? Well, at the very least, he ended his days in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Everyone needs to get here to see Grandma one last time. I know she wants to end her days surrounded by all of her loved ones.
