To resume the discussion of something (usually something unpleasant or troublesome). A noun or pronoun can be used between "drag" and "up." Can we all please try not to drag up old hurts at this year's Thanksgiving dinner? When we argue, he drags up every one of my past misdeeds—it's so frustrating! How does she manage to drag up her grievances every time we have a conversation?
