downward slope

A decline, as in value, worth, success, etc. Business has not been great this quarter—sales have been on a downward slope, unfortunately. Of course attendance is on a downward slope—the team hasn't been competitive in years! Dude, you're supposed to sell stuff when its value is high, not when it's own a downward slope.
