A humorous phrase used when one is visibly eager to make money. As soon as I mentioned potentially selling my house, my realtor friend had dollar signs in his eyes. My boss got dollar signs in his eyes when he realized how popular my app was becoming. When my buddy told me how much money I could make selling my old memorabilia, I practically had dollar signs in my eyes.
