slang To report, inform against, or turn over someone to an authority, especially the police. A noun or pronoun can be used between "dob" and "in." Primarily heard in Australia, New Zealand. The gang threatened to have the accountant killed if he dobbed them in to the police. She avoided jail time by dobbing in her co-conspirator. If you dob in on this operation, the mob boss will send his goons right after you.
