do-re-me
do-re-mi
slang Money. Primarily heard in US. Come on, you know I don't make enough do-re-mi to go on an extravagant trip like that. A: "Did you see Sally's new convertible?" B: "Yeah, that thing looks like it cost some serious do-re-mi." I do some freelance work in the evenings to earn a little extra do-re-mi on the side.
