To divide and dole out portions of something. A noun or pronoun can be used between "divvy" and "up." All right, let's divvy up the cash and then go our separate ways. Who wants to divvy up the pizza? Let's divvy up the remaining work—I'll put the slides together while you type up the hand-out.
