did you ever (something)

did you ever (something)

An exclamation of surprise or indignation. The offending action is stated after "ever." That girl just has no manners! I mean, did you ever hear anyone acting so uncouth? Did you ever see someone so boorish? Who would dare take off their shoes in the middle of a restaurant! Did you ever hear a child with a mouth like that before? My goodness, even adults shouldn't use that kind of vulgar language!
