deplete (something) of (something)

To use all of a resource from an available supply. The rainforest will be depleted of trees if our generation doesn't take action now. Erosion has depleted this coastline of plenty of sediment over the years. It seems we've depleted the well of its water.

deplete something of something

to use up all of a certain thing that something has. They will deplete the soil of its nutrients by planting the same crop over and over.
