To make something smaller or more manageable. Thanks to the yard sale, we were able to cut our Christmas decorations down to just one box. Any chance you could pack lighter and cut your luggage down to just one suitcase? OK, your action figures are overtaking your apartment. You definitely need to cut your collection down to only your favorites.
