1. The sun. The phrase comes from rhyming slang in which "currant bun" rhymes with "sun." Are you enjoying the currant bun now after all that rain? Get out in the currant bun while you can—it'll be setting soon. A: "Looks like you spent a little too much time in the currant bun." B: "I know, I could use some aloe right about now."
2. By extension, the tabloid magazine The Sun. What ridiculousness is the Currant Bun peddling today? Don't believe everything—or anything—you read in the Currant Bun. Who knows if these cheating allegations are remotely true? The Currant Bun prints rumors about actors all the time.
