To reach an agreement in which both sides make concessions. I'm sorry, but I'm not willing to compromise with you to live in this seedy neighborhood. For dinner tonight, I compromised on dinner with my husband. This means that we'll have tacos tonight and my pick tomorrow—Italian! You need to compromise on these issues with your soon-to-be ex-wife if you ever want to be done with this divorce.
