To be slow to adopt, embrace, or adapt to something. Boy, did I come late to the party on K-pop. These songs are so catchy! Thank goodness I came late to the party on perms—that definitely limits the number of embarrassing pictures of me from the '80s! These tech start-ups capitalize on investors' fears of coming late to the party and missing out on millions.
