could sleep on a clothesline

Could sleep in even the most uncomfortable circumstances because one is so utterly exhausted or fatigued. My car broke down in the middle of nowhere, so I've been walking all night long to get home. I'm so tired I could sleep on a clothesline! A: "I'm sorry, but all I can offer you is this junky old couch to sleep on." B: "That's all I need. After traveling for 48 hours, I could sleep on a clothesline!" We've had a newborn at home for the past two months—we could sleep on a clothesline at this point!
