Combat, whether hand-to-hand or with firearms, conducted within a confined space or short range. Police officers undergo rigorous close combat training in order to deal with criminals inside buildings. While technological advances have reduced the instances of close combat, it is still an important part of any soldier's training. Have you seen the size of that guy's arms? If you engage in close combat with him, he'll destroy you!
