clock off

1. To log the end of one's shift or one's departure from work on a card or computerized system. Employees are reminded that they are required to clock off before leaving the building. Sorry, I can't help you with this case, I already clocked off for the day. Hey, if you haven't clocked off yet, can you look something up for me real quick?
2. By extension, to end one's shift or day at work. You know I can't have any alcohol until I clock off! Is it time to clock off yet? I'm ready to get the weekend started! No, I'm stuck here—I can't clock off until the management meeting is over.
