A sandwich consisting of French fries (typically called "chips" in British English) between two pieces of bread. Primarily heard in UK. This place has fish and chips, so I bet you could get a chip butty, if you like. We didn't have time to stop for a full meal, so we just got some chip butties on the go. Whew, that chip butty really hit the spot!
