To physically carry someone or something all around; to tote someone or something around. A noun or pronoun can be used between "carry" and "about." After carrying a toddler about all day, my arms are pretty sore. Your purse weighs a ton because you carry about so much unnecessary junk! A: "Ma'am?" B: "Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot you were carrying those boxes about! You can just put them on the floor in the corner, thanks."
