A phrase used to express frustration with someone or something that the speaker ultimately cannot give up. My husband is a total slob, but I still love him. Men: can't live with them, can't live without them. Sports: can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em. This soccer game is going to make me crazy! My daughter is so sweet until she throws her 47th tantrum of the day. Toddlers: can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.
