Due to something. The largely outdated word "dint" refers to force or effort. By dint of hard work, I was able to get an A in my math class this semester. This event only happened by dint of Lynda's unwavering effort and attention! Hollywood is a cutthroat industry—you won't make it by dint of talent alone.
