slang A woman who has an ugly face but is otherwise appealing or attractive. The term is a play on the phrase "but her face" (as in, "everything is pretty but her face"). Yeah, she has a great body—too bad she's a butterface. No, he's not a butterface, he's just kind of dorky. I think you guys would really hit it off, though, if you met in person. Is this guy you're setting me up with a butterface or something? Why are you emphasizing his personality and physique so much?
