To voice something loudly and abruptly. My daughter burst out with a shriek when her favorite stuffed animal fell out of the stroller. Naturally, my mother burst out with critiques the minute she saw my dress. A: "At that restaurant, they sing opera songs throughout the evening." B: "Seriously? Like, my waiter will just periodically burst out with song?" A: "Yes!"
