budgie smugglers

slang A pair of very skimpy, close-fitting men's swim briefs. A "budgie," short for "budgerigar," is an Australian parakeet, which the genitals within this snug-fitting swimwear are said to resemble. Primarily heard in Australia, New Zealand. I can't believe Albert insists on wearing budgie smugglers to the beach—how embarrassing! A: "What was that scream?" B: "It seems that Evelyn didn't know George was in budgie smugglers before she walked into his hotel room." If you're wearing budgie smugglers, I don't want to be seen with you, no way.
