1. To drive very quickly past another vehicle. The truck zoomed past me on the highway and practically blew my doors off. I blew that guy's doors off, which turned out to be a mistake because he was an undercover police officer. Where is that lunatic going at 90 miles per hour? He just about blew my doors off!
2. To defeat or best one. We lost 17–1? Wow, they really blew our doors off! I figured that candidate would win, but I didn't expect her to blow the other guy's doors off. What a landslide! The young team's inexperience showed on the field today, as the veteran squad blew their doors off.

tv. to defeat someone; to surpass someone. (As if someone were going by another vehicle on the highway at such a high speed that the doors would be blown off in passing.) We’re gonna really blow your doors off in the next game.
