Unnecessarily excessive. Julie's mother thought that it was a bit much to expect the students to stay at school until 10 o'clock for theater practice. He seriously asked you to lend him $500? Doesn't that seem like a bit much? Come on, driving an ex-boyfriend to the airport at 3 AM is a bit much.
